How AI is used
Stoic Ech'oes uses AI-assisted creative workflows for some visuals, narration, music, editing, and educational experiences. The website’s Stoic Oracle is designed as an in-browser semantic retrieval tool with a local knowledge fallback.
Human responsibility
Automation can assist creation and delivery, but AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Site visitors should verify important facts and should not rely on the Oracle for high-stakes professional decisions.
Philosophical accuracy
The Oracle is designed to distinguish practical Stoic interpretation from direct historical quotation. Unless a source is specifically identified, responses should be understood as modern explanation rather than verbatim words of an ancient author.
Privacy-first design, with an optional enhanced mode
By default, question text is processed locally by the website code and never leaves your browser. No account is required. Visitors may optionally turn on "Enhanced AI answers" beneath the Oracle chat — when that toggle is on, the question you submit is sent to a server we operate, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API to generate a response, then returns that response to your browser. The toggle is off by default and stays off until you turn it on; turning it off again returns the Oracle to fully local processing. See the Privacy Policy for full third-party network-request disclosures, including this optional path.
Crisis and safety limits
Neither the local Oracle nor the optional Enhanced AI mode is medical, legal, or crisis support. If a question signals a real safety emergency, Enhanced AI is instructed to point to real crisis resources (such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US, or local emergency services) rather than offer philosophy in place of help.
Automated content
Daily Echo content rotates automatically from a curated library. Social publishing and external-platform moderation are not performed by this static website itself.
